Head of Share Plans Role overview

We would like to be more strategic in our use of share plans and are reviewing the strategy behind how we utilise and communicate our plans across the business. We would like a Head of Share Plans to help implement this for us.

Flutter has just listed on the NYSE. This is a strategic project for the company and will have a significant impact on the share plans that we currently have in place. We would like this role to partner with the Director of Share Incentives in order to help with this transition and set us up for success when it comes to share incentive plans.

Accountabilities:

  • Working with the Group Reward Director and Director of Shares Incentives to set and oversee the share plan strategy across the Flutter group.
  • Leading a very capable and talented Share Plans team, ensuring that they deliver on all administrative objectives, including giving additional support at busy times and covering for holiday.
  • Manage the relationship with the Company’s share plan administrators.
  • Effectively represent the Director of Share Incentives to internal stakeholders across the globe. Building strong relationships and interdependencies between group and divisional People functions and business needs
  • Together with the Director of Share Incentives, review our global share plans strategy (in the context of an overall reward strategy review), considering how share plans are utilised through the Flutter group and whether they are as effective as possible.
  • Responsible for the annual global launch of the Sharesave (including phantom) plan and considering whether this remains the most appropriate all-employee plan for use going forward.
  • Develop policies and procedures to help deliver the share incentives consistently across all divisions in Flutter. Process Improvement, including automating these processes by leveraging the technology tools and platforms available.

Experience:

  • Significant previous share plans experience within a FTSE-listed company
  • Significant previous experience managing both discretionary and all-employee share plans
  • Proven ability in leading a team
  • Experience of HMRC/Irish Revenue approved SAYE plans and management of such
  • Technical expertise to deal with share plans in accordance with differing global, legal, regulatory and taxation requirements
  • Ability to work at pace and to prioritise workload
  • Advanced use of excel e.g. pivot tables, vlookups etc
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Very good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Confidentiality and discretion
