Principal Process Data Scientist

The Principal Process Data Scientist is responsible for applying scientific principles to advanced statistical handling and analysis of process data as well as managing projects pertaining to process modeling of biological drugs.

In this role a typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:

• Leading the implementation, expansion, and continuous improvement of Regeneron’s process monitoring programs and systems
• Analyzing data sources and develop strategies and solutions for data acquisition, aggregation, and reporting
• Applying statistical process control and quality engineering to monitor process capability and performance, identify trends, and support investigations
• Using scientific principles to solve process or design problems by determining root cause of process-related deviations
• Applying advanced numerical and statistical modeling techniques including multivariate analysis (PCA and PLS), curve metrics and univariate batch analysis to analyze large datasets of process and raw materials data and generating predictive models to supplement and enhance process understanding
• Leading cross functional teams in technical investigations to resolve process issues and identify process improvements. Present findings at interdepartmental forums
• Supporting the development of automated solutions that address specific analytical objectives and facilitate report generation and distribution of analyses
• Applying computational modelling methods for increased process understanding and predictions
• Managing quality system events pertaining to data integrity and data management such as investigations, CAPAs and change controls
• Providing audit and regulatory submission support where applicable
• Providing coaching and mentoring to junior members of the team

To be considered for this opportunity you should hold a BS/BA in mathematics/statistics, or related discipline with 8+ years or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a biopharmaceutical cGMP manufacturing setting an advantage.
