Job Description - Psychologist with ADHD & ASD

Centric Mental Health is seeking a passionate and skilled Psychologist with assessment and diagnosis experience in ADHD & ASD in Children, Adolescents, and Adults.

 

Contract:  Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time

Working Hours:  to be agreed Location: Dublin (exact location to be agreed)

Work Pattern: 9.00 am - 5.30 pm Monday - Friday Hybrid

Salary Range:  Competitive

Key responsibilities can include:  

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments to evaluate individuals suspected of having ADHD and/or ASD.
  • Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Completing and issuing assessment reports in a timely manner in accordance with company policy and delivering satisfactory service to clients
  • Working therapeutically with a wide range of presenting issues in our primary care and private clinic settings
  • Experience working with Children (5+) and adolescents 
  • Innovating and contributing to the development of services to promote the psychological well-being of all service users
  • Communicating effectively and working in cooperation with team members and others
  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals (such as GPs and other members of multi-disciplinary teams) as necessary
  • Working within limits of professional competence in line with principles of best practice, professional conduct, and clinical governance
  • Being aware of, and referring clients to, appropriate services as necessary
  • Keeping up to date with the evidence base and CPD related to clinical work
  • Writing and maintaining clear client case notes, and reports and collecting statistics in line with company policy
  • Ability to manage time effectively while adhering to deadlines

What experience and qualifications do I need?

Have a university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject

And

Have an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology

Or

An equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health.

And

Demonstrate competence in the Care Group/s applied for.

And

Applicants must demonstrate that they have acquired in appropriate health settings, either at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification; or at least 60 days or equivalent post-qualification supervised work experience as a psychologist.

And

Applicants must demonstrate that they have the appropriate training and expertise in the assessment and diagnosis of ADHD and ASD.

And

Excellent administration and organisational skills

And

Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with an openness to sharing ideas and learning from others

And

Fluent English Level B2 Advanced or above required.
