Excel Recruitment are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager for a flagship Restaurant and Bar in Co Laois.
The successful candidate will be at the heart of the establishment and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the restaurant by overseeing daily operations and providing leadership to their dedicated team.
Requirements of the Restaurant Manager
- Previous experience in restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume establishment.
- Passion for hospitality and dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control.
- Time management and organisational skills.
- Willing to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends.
- Valid work permit.
Responsibilities of the Restaurant Manager
- Ensuring the highest level of food quality, presentation, consistency, and customer service is delivered to guests.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus and special offerings.
- Training and mentoring of staff, continuing a culture of continuous improvement and upskilling.
- Help plan external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities.
- Drawing up staff rosters within the allocated budget.
- Ensuring the highest hygiene standards and compliance of HACCP are maintained and documentation recorded.
- Ordering and sourcing of produce and stock.
- Management of costs efficiently in achieving target GP.
- Cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation.
