Retail Technical Designer

Do you possess a passion for meticulous design and a desire to contribute to exceptional customer experiences? Our client is seeking a talented Retail Technical Designer to join their dynamic team in Dublin 12

In this role, you will:

• Play a pivotal role in developing world-class integrated customer experiences for a diverse range of retail and design projects.
• Collaborate closely with sales representatives to translate client briefs into highly detailed drawings and elevations.
• Utilize your expertise in CAD to create space planning layouts, retail floor plans, and 3D visualizations of retail interiors and fixtures.
• Ensure adherence to building regulations and facilitate their seamless integration into live contracts.
• Work with suppliers, contractors, and clients through project completion.
• Leverage your knowledge of Adobe Suite to contribute to graphic design and print production (advantageous).
• Take ownership of projects from inception, making key decisions and driving them towards successful completion.
• Manage project timelines effectively, ensuring all design deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
• Contribute to the scoping and planning of projects, demonstrating a keen understanding of client needs and cost-efficient solutions.
• Coordinate and produce strategic project plans encompassing walkways, sightlines, fixture zones, signage, and lightboxes.
• Prioritize health and safety protocols, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of a third-level qualification in design or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in preparing sample boards, schedules, and specifications for tenders.
• At least one year of demonstrably successful experience within the industry.
• A comprehensive understanding of building regulations and relevant design standards.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• The ability to confidently present credentials and participate in introductory meetings.
• The ability to present and articulate ideas visually, verbally, and in writing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with advanced skills in programs like Photoshop a significant advantage.
• A proven track record of designing innovative retail spaces across various sectors (fashion, food, beauty, or offices).
• Extensive practical experience working on-site.
• Experience with 3D design and drawings is a plus.
