We are urgently seeking a Speech and Language Therapist for a private hospital in Westmeath Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Identifying speech language communication and swallowing abnormalities by conducting assessments.

• Employing evidencebased therapeutic practices to provide clients with oneonone and group therapy sessions.

• Working together to provide unified and comprehensive care with families carers and other medical experts.

• Establish clinical leadership in the daytoday management of the service by assisting and monitoring employees assigning and prioritizing tasks and encouraging a pleasant work environment.

• Oversee take part in and contribute significantly to the practice education of student therapists. As needed encourage and take part in the instruction training assistance and supervision of others.

• Enhance the function of the Senior SLP and the service for example by doing research planning audits creating standards and providing ongoing education and quality improvement programmes.

• Make sure that best practices are followed and that efficient procedures are followed.

• Take part in the ordering and management of medical supplies.

Requirements

• A Masters or Bachelor of Science in Speech and Language Pathology.

• Licensed to practice speech and language therapy in Ireland under CORU.

• Dysphagia certification at the IASLTapproved level.

• Three years of fulltime clinical experience dealing with adults following qualification.

• Clinical expertise in the evaluation and management of persons with acquired swallowing and communication disorders.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
