JOB DESCRIPTION - Stockroom Person

Location: Dunnes Stores, Cornelscourt Shopping Centre, Cabinteely, Dublin 18.

Hours: 30 per week

Scope of Position

As a Stockroom Person at Sheridans Cheesemongers, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail space by managing the stockroom efficiently. Your responsibilities encompass a diverse range of tasks, from receiving deliveries and organising inventory to assisting with the ordering process and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Your attention to detail and dedication to maintaining product quality will contribute to the overall success of our operations.

Keep the stockroom clean, organised, and free of hazards at all times.

Work closely with the Cheesemongers to fulfil ad hoc requests and assist with tasks as needed.

Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient operations.

Following company standards for storage, handling, and rotation of inventory.

Support the cheesemonger team during busy periods by providing additional assistance with tasks such as merchandising, customer service, or seasonal preparations.

Qualifications & Experience:

1 years' experience in a similar role preferable.

Minimum 2 years' experience in a food retail environment.

Must be available 5 out of 7 days including some weekends to support business needs.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Attention to detail when organising inventory, ensuring accuracy in labelling and stock rotation.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and communicate inventory needs or issues.

High level of organisation in the stockroom, prioritising tasks and managing time efficiently.

Must be punctual and dependable, consistently completing tasks accurately and on time.

HACCP and Manual Handling trained an advantage.
