Team Leader
With more than $750 billion in assets under management as of September 30, 2023, Fidelity’s Strategic Advisers, LLC (SAI) is a leading provider of asset allocation solutions for retail, institutional, and high net worth clients. The range of investment solutions include managed accounts, financial planning frameworks and custom solutions. The Team
The Systematic Portfolio Engineering team is responsible for portfolio construction and trading of Fidelity’s retail and workplace managed accounts. We employ investment expertise, quantitative techniques, and technology to scale our investment processes across both taxable and tax qualified portfolios with a mix of single and multi-asset class strategies, investing in a range of securities, including stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds, and separately managed accounts.
The Role
We are seeking a Team Leader for the Systematic Portfolio Engineering team. This role will be located in our Dublin, Ireland office. You will be part of a dynamic group, tasked with developing innovative ways to manage client portfolios at scale. You will work collaboratively within the Systematic Portfolio Engineering team, including managing team members in the Dublin, Ireland office. In addition to people management, you will act a leader in directing efforts related to analyzing large data sets of portfolio holdings, identifying trading opportunities, configuring our optimization platform inputs for desired trades, and evaluating portfolio quality.
You will be responsible for ensuring client investment portfolios are of the highest quality. You will be expected to act as a “player – coach” and be involved in monitoring portfolio characteristics, understanding factor and risk model exposures, performing cross-sectional and time-series analysis to improve investment outcomes, and build processes to facilitate ongoing oversight across millions of data points.
You will represent the team cross SAI initiatives, representing investment prototypes, requirements, and business context. This leadership role will be critical in ensuring effective partnership exists across our portfolio engineering teams as well as the broader SAI organization. This individual will provide valuable coaching to the Systematic PE team, drive direction and prioritization for the group’s strategic initiatives and will be accountable for the team’s performance against stated goals and objectives.
