Job Description - Technical Support Manager

Enva is a leading provider of recycling and resource recovery solutions , with locations across the United Kingdom and Ireland. Purpose of the role:

The Technical Support Manager plays an integral role in ensuring that the technical classification, waste acceptance and incoming process are fit for purpose. The role will report to the Exports Business Unit Manager, there is dotted reporting line to the Sales Administration Manager.

Work Location: Two to three days onsite : Greenogue Business Park, Dublin and Smithstown Industrial Estate Shannon, 50% of time in each site and flexibility to work one to two days remotely considered.  

Core requirements/eligibility : A base technical qualification in chemistry or equivalent, strong proven project/process management experience in the hazardous waste sector. DGSA & IMDG qualification, experience and knowledge of the carriage of dangerous good by road and sea.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to Operational and Sales teams regarding waste classifications, treatment methodologies, and process optimization.

  • Supporting Customer Solutions team on daily tasks including classifications, packing methodologies, route optimisation etc whilst ensuring the process lines meet daily targets and process efficiency is maximised.

  • Partner with the Business Unit manager in developing, monitoring and maintaining all policies and procedures related to customer support and customer development activities.

  • Responsibility for the WTS / Tegos classifications, EWC code assignments and the SOPS’s etc. related to these procedures.

  • To work with EHS regarding building a database that ensures accurate, efficient and convenient year end reporting for R/D codes for streams.

  • Responsibility in taking a leading role in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) design and implementation.
