Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Test Project Manager to join our team. We are seeking forward-thinking people who will drive all aspects of IT Project, Program and Portfolio activity, including collaborating and coordinating across all IT and business segments.

The Project Manager will be responsible for a logical grouping of cross functional development teams. 

Key collaborations are with the Development Teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and with the total Program Team.

The Project Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining the full release plan for the project area that they are responsible for.

Facilitates the teams in delivering the Release Backlog (tasks, stories, epics, steps etc. to GA).

Project Manager who has worked in R&D environment...it is the Cloud RAN program and there would be a requirement to be a test leader in that space...Teams are working in developing Interfaces for O-RAN, doing orchestration for Lifecycle management...

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the project towards its Quality, Time and Cost objectives.
  • Ensures delivery on commitments, with quality, on time and takes corrective action if off track.
  • Facilitates release planning with the teams, ensuring the release planning inputs and outputs are of high quality and communicates the expectations on teams in advance of the session.
  • Present the release plan, status against plans etc.
  • Runs Risk Management sessions with the teams and maintains a risk register on actions taken to continuously manage the risks.
  • Supports the teams with the removal of external impediments that cannot be resolved by the team.
  • Facilitate scheduling/planning/dependency management
  • Reports progress using Program tools (e.g. JIRA, Burndown, Bug Tracker, Requirement Planner etc.).
  • Propose quality objectives for the teams; ensure alignment with line managers, overall program and teams.
  • Identify process/WoW improvement areas.
  • Be a change agent.
  • Run regular retrospective with the development teams to find opportunities for improvements

Technical  Competencies

  • Project management skills acquired through training, project management experience or other experience of using project management methods and techniques.
  • Experience is in R&D environment and able to work as a Test leader
  • Experiences related to project management techniques and tools, such as project planning and cost control.
  • Strong focus on automation and regression with fast feedback.
  • Ability to contribute technical leadership from a test point of view
  • Professional competence related to the project type and the nature of the project outcome.
  • Project Managers should have a good understanding of the technical challenges of the project area that they are responsible for.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years project management experience (managing multidisciplinary project teams) within IT and software development
  • PMI qualification or equivalent a plus.
  • Third level qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Project governance experience
  • Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Consultancy experience a plus.
  • Must have experience of previously managing (directly) several projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver business projects.
  • Strong leadership skills for driving cross functional groups
