Job Purpose

The R&D analytical team is responsible for supporting all key process/product test requirements within R&D. The role of the Operator will be to carry out physical and optical testing of product across a range of different test instruments within a laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine optical testing on ophthalmic lenses
• Cary out routine physical testing on ophthalmic lenses
• Document test results where appropriate
• Maintain effective records of work completed
• Communicate test information/issues across shifts
• Support on off-shifts as required by project demands

Key Requirements

• Minimum 1 years manufacturing/industrial experience

• Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Outlook)

• Exceptional trouble shooting/root cause analysis skills/attention to detail

• Ability to work in a laboratory environment

• Attention to detail

• Must possess a strong understanding of safety and PPE requirements

Desirable

• Analytical experience in a product development (R&D) environment
• Knowledge of laboratory data management system
