Overview
The Admission Counselor plays a vital role in the enrollment process of students. They are responsible for providing guidance and support to prospective students assisting them in understanding the admission requirements and ensuring a smooth transition into the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide information on admission procedures and requirements to prospective students.
- Assist students with the application process and ensure all required documentation is submitted.
- Conduct informational sessions and tours for prospective students and their families.
- Evaluate and assess students academic credentials and make admission decisions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors and community organizations to promote the institution.
- Participate in recruitment events and fairs to attract potential students.
- Resolve inquiries and concerns from prospective students and parents regarding admission.
- Collaborate with academic departments to stay current on program offerings and admission requirements.
- Utilize CRM systems to track and manage prospective student communication and activity.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials and strategies to attract prospective students.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on admission processes and regulations.
- Assist in the coordination of orientation programs and activities for new students.
- Participate in the review and revision of admission policies and procedures.
- Monitor and achieve enrollment targets set by the institution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education Counseling or related field.
- Previous experience in college admissions or student recruitment.
- Strong understanding of academic programs entrance requirements and financial aid options.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Knowledge of admissions regulations and compliance standards.
