Dietician

Brief Role Description:

We are looking to hire a skilled and passionate Dietician to join our team for our Diabetic Care Program. The Dietician will be responsible for providing expert nutritional guidance and support to individuals with diabetes. The goal is to develop personalized diet plans and educate patients on healthy eating habits to manage their condition effectively. This role requires strong knowledge of

diabetes management dietary principles and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments of patients with diabetes to understand their specific dietary needs medical history and lifestyle factors.
• Develop personalized diet plans tailored to each patients individual needs and preferences considering cultural social and economic factors.
• Educate and counsel patients on diabetes management including carbohydrate counting meal timing portion control and healthy food choices.
• Monitor patients progress and make necessary adjustments to diet plans based on their health outcomes and feedback.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals including endocrinologist/diabetologist nurses and diabetes educators to ensure integrated and coordinated care for patients.
• Provide ongoing support guidance and motivation to patients to help them adhere to their prescribed diet plans and achieve their health goals.
• Stay updated on the latest research guidelines and advancements in diabetes nutrition therapy to enhance the quality of care provided to patients.
• Conduct group education sessions or workshops on diabetes nutrition and healthy eating habits for patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient assessments progress notes and intervention plans.
• Stay informed about relevant insurance coverage and reimbursement policies related to medical nutrition therapy for diabetes care.

Profile of the Successful Candidate:

• Bachelor s degree in nutrition Dietetics or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
• Registered Dietician (RD) certification from the Indian Dietetic Association or other recognized accrediting bodies.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Dietician preferably with a focus on diabetes care and management.
• Experience of working with digital health tech startups like Fitterfly Healthifyme Sugar fit
• Indepth knowledge of diabetes nutrition therapy medical nutrition therapy guidelines and evidencebased practices.
• Familiarity with common diabetes medications and their impact on nutrition.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and educate patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to create personalized diet plans considering cultural social and economic factors.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
• Knowledge of relevant software applications and tools for nutrition assessment and meal planning.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
