Overview: Rocket Learning s communications team is searching for a talented and creative individual to join as a Communications Manager with 45 years of experience in brand building and digital media management. As a crucial member of our remote team you will be responsible for strengthening and increasing RL s external brand value through strategic identification of opportunities platforms ideas and an understanding of different audiences and content strategies to reach them. You will support the lead in building Intellectual Properties and also organize and manage India s largest ECCE convening Udaan.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken Hindi and English with expertise in using various social media platforms including their algorithms features and trends. They should have a proven track record in developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies understanding legal and ethical considerations related to communication including privacy copyright and intellectual property rights. Awareness and respect for cultural differences to ensure inclusivity in communication along with knowledge and experience in building social impact/advocacy brands are essential.

1) Strategy and Support

  • Manage daytoday brand communications across social media website and internal communication channels
  • Support the development and implementation of a strategic communications plan ensuring that communication efforts align with overall org. priorities
  • Support and manage team members in developing a framework for strategic communication by helping them to write/ edit blogs/social media captions and publications and by providing feedback and guidance
  • Execute and lead monthly key communication collateral to funders network and industry peers through newsletters updates etc.

2) Digital and Social Media

  • Support in identifying relevant communications opportunities and creating placing and communicating content and messages in line with the nonprofit s strategic plan for the year. Developing updating and managing content across social media platforms on an ongoing basis.
  • Thinking through developing and implementing important communications aspects and ensuring project activities and messages are clearly communicated to key audiences
  • Formulate communication packages that cut through jargon crystallize key messages and strategically communicate with the different audience stakeholders audiences in collaboration with other teams in the organisation
  • Create engaging and informative content including written materials visuals videos and presentations that effectively communicate Rocket Learning s work and impact
  • Establish mechanisms to gather feedback and insights from tools and targeted stakeholders using this information to improve communication and implementation

3) Events and Campaigns

  • Collaborate with central and state teams to support with events and campaigns while always using the larger RL s messaging strategy lens as guidance
  • Collaborate with other organisations and institutions to amplify the projects thoughtleadership on digital platforms webinar coauthored articles social media campaigns
  • Conceptualise Plan and execute communication campaigns workshops and run performance marketing campaigns that raise RL s social capital provide momentum for evangelizing efforts in ECCE and helps build RL as an employer of choice
  • Monitor the impact of events and campaigns making adjustments as needed to enhance their effectiveness

Critical Success Factors:

  • The ability to guide teammates inspire and contribute effectively to the communications function
  • Ability to condense information and translate those into action items and communication activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey messages and priorities effectively
  • Proficiency in social media platforms performance marketing content curation and engagement strategies
  • Familiarity with digital tools and technologies relevant to communication
  • Creativity in developing engaging and informative campaigns and collateral in service of different audiences
  • Strategic thinking to develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy
  • Data visualization and reporting skills to present findings effectively
  • Research skills
  • Ability to ensure accomplishments of quarterly deliverables and direct reports growth and success
  • Willingness to travel

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Communications Public Relations Journalism Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum 45 years of experience in communication roles preferably in education or social advocacy.
  • Portfolio of previous work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in softwares: Kapwing/Adobe Premiere Pro or any video editing software Canva Hootsuite Mailchimp Google Analytics Wordpress and Meta Ads
