What does a Kitchen Assistant do?

A kitchen assistant takes care of the entire kitchen and works under the guidance of the kitchen supervisor. The main part of the job is to ensure the kitchen cleanliness and functionality. In some kitchens, the kitchen assistant prepares ingredients and assists the chefs. However, the job is to constantly fuel the work of others present in the kitchen. They can be the right hand of the cooks as well as carry out the arrangement and organisations in the kitchen. They chop, slice, cut, and prepare vegetables and fruits for cooking. They lend a hand in preparing salads and desserts. They actively assemble the ingredients for the cook and other food equipment needed for preparation of meals.
