Description
The BASF Shared Services Center Kuala Lumpur was established in 2005. Located in Kuala Lumpur, it has approximately 700 employees and provides functional services in the areas of Finance, Controlling, Information Services, Human Resources, Environment, Health & Safety, Procurement, and Import-Export Order Management to BASF companies and affiliates in 17 markets across Asia Pacific. BASF also has three other Shared Service Centers that cover Europe and the Americas, located in Berlin and Ludwigshafen, Germany, and Montevideo, Uruguay.
Objectives of the Position
- Implement Automation Activities within Procurement Services with the appropriate technologies
- Ensure Automation is always a priority in the Mindset of all Employees of Procurement Services
Main Tasks
Functional Task:
- First point of contact for the PS Expert, Teamspecialist & Manager Community for all Automation related questions
- Drive implementation of the PS Automation Roadmap including Prioritization, issue escalation and tracking of tool usage and efficiencies achieved incl. global sharing of tools implemented and adjustments for Asia Pacific if applicable
- Together with the “script-owner” (ie Experts/TS/Key users):
- Develop documentation of use case, process design document (PDD) & ROI
- Document expected efficiency gains
- Evaluate automation technology
- Guide all relevant Parties through the design process
- Script automation tool (BOT, Macro etc) on basis of PDD and clarify issues with “script owner”
- Performs functional testing with focus on technical execution in development environment; make necessary quality adjustments
- Provide Training/Knowledge Transfer on the automation tool (BOT, Macro etc) to all relevant parties and ensure documentation requirements of RPA team and delivery team (KnowIT)
- Represent Procurement Services in BSSCKL RPA Team meetings
- Stay up to date on development for automation technology within BASF and outside and update PS Expert & Team specialist community

- Follow BASF Group guidelines, esp. procurement Guideline
- Understand and follow local legal requirements
- Inform all relevant stakeholders about any issues that might impact effectiveness, efficiency or compliance incl. Action plan

Requirements
Education
- Min. diploma/degree in IT, business and/or engineering/ supply chain
Working Experience
- 2-3 years with automation technology
Technical & Professional Knowledge
- Uipath Level 3 Qualification
- Strong Competency in computer applications, deep understanding of MS Excel & VBA
- Knowledge of the processes in Procurement services and Procurement in BASF
- Knowledge of Supply Chain processes
- Understanding of SAP R/3
Languages & Methodology Skills
- Fluent in spoken / written English; additional proficiency in another regional language is beneficial
- Basic Project Management
- Systemic quality assurance and problem solving
