Finance Executive

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Executive to join our finance team within an aluminum manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to product costing, SAP, and Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, and will play a key role in supporting cost accuracy, financial reporting, and cross-functional coordination with production and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare, analyze, and maintain product costing reports, including material, labour, and overhead cost breakdowns
2. Review and validate Bill of Materials (BOM) data for accuracy and alignment with actual production costs
3. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities related to costing and inventory valuation
4. Support standard cost setting, variance analysis, and cost reconciliation
5. Utilize SAP (or equivalent ERP system) for financial transactions, reporting, and cost center management
6. Liaise with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure cost data integrity
7. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities
8. Support internal and external audits by providing costing documentation and explanations
9. Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within the manufacturing finance function

Requirements

1. 3–5 years of relevant working experience in finance/costing, ideally within a manufacturing environment (aluminium or metals industry preferred)
2. Solid understanding of product/standard costing principles
3. Hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO modules preferred) or similar ERP systems
4. Familiarity with BOM (Bill of Materials) structures and how they relate to cost accounting
5. Proficiency in Mandarin required, to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders/suppliers/HQ
6. Strong Excel and analytical skills
7. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
8. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work cross-functionally
