Lead Data Scientist - Analytics

Role Summary:

As the Lead Data Scientist - Analytics at Floward, you will spearhead the development and execution of data-centric strategies that drive the company's objectives and enhance its data products and capabilities. This role involves leading a highly motivated team to deliver innovative data-driven solutions, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement, and contributing significantly to Floward's growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Strategy and Management

• Define and lead the execution of the overall data strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Manage the data science team's activities to ensure optimal performance and project alignment with strategic objectives.
• Prioritize data projects based on potential business impact and available resources.
• Ensure data security and privacy compliance in all data operations and processes.
• Maintain and enhance the data warehousing and processing infrastructure to support scalability and efficiency.

2. Analytics and Insights

• Conduct advanced statistical analysis to solve complex business problems, providing actionable insights.
• Develop and implement models for predictive analytics, enhancing decision-making across the business.
• Lead exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders through clear, concise reports and presentations.
• Foster an environment of data-driven decision-making within the company.

3. Innovation and Development

• Lead the development of new data-driven product features and analytical tools.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to incorporate innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with product and technology teams to integrate data science applications into Floward's platform.
• Drive the exploration and adoption of new data sources and analytics methodologies.

4. Team Leadership and Development

• Build, mentor, and lead a team of data scientists, analysts, and data engineers.
• Establish clear performance standards and encourage a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Organize training and development initiatives to enhance team skills and capabilities.
• Promote collaboration across teams to ensure integrated strategies and shared knowledge.

5. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Align data science activities with business units' needs to maximize value creation.
• Serve as the primary data science liaison to senior management, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Coordinate with IT, marketing, and operations to implement data-driven strategies effectively.

Key Expertise and Competencies;

Educational Qualification and Experience:

• Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is highly desirable.
• At least 7 years of experience in applied statistics and predictive analytics.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in leading data-focused teams.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• High level of proficiency in data manipulation and analysis.
