Penerangan Pekerjaan - Head, Group Quality

Job Purpose

  • Responsible to develop and implement a comprehensive Group Quality strategy aligned with organizational objectives. Define quality metrics, standards, and KPIs to measure performance and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Responsible to implementing Group Quality strategic goals to meet the industry standard, exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, optimizing production quality levels and supporting operational excellence. Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, manufacturing and customers regarding technical support of their activities. 
  • Responsible for Group Quality function and provide support to Operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system that aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Assurance (QA) Strategy: Develop strategies and plans to ensure that products or services meet established quality standards throughout the production or service delivery process.
  • Quality Control (QC) Implementation: Implement processes and procedures for quality control, including inspection, testing, and measurement, to identify and address deviations from quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality, increase efficiency, and reduce defects or errors through methods like Lean, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and certifications, such as ISO, FDA, or other regulatory bodies, and manage interactions with regulatory agencies as necessary.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, monitor their performance, and ensure that they meet quality requirements and standards.
  • Training and Development: Develop training programs to educate employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices, fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analysis techniques to monitor quality metrics, identify trends, and generate reports for management review, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Customer Feedback and Satisfaction: Implement processes for collecting and analyzing customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as production, engineering, and sales, to ensure that quality considerations are integrated into all aspects of the business.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to product quality or compliance and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
  • Lead and develop the Group Quality Management system, striving for best in class products and business practices to deliver to the customer’s expectations, managing teams and projects across the business.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the quality assurance team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
  • Audit and Inspection Preparation: Prepare for and facilitate internal and external audits and inspections, ensuring readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Problem Resolution: Lead investigations into quality issues, non-conformances, or customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Cost Management: Optimize quality processes and procedures to minimize costs while maintaining or improving product or service quality.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant disciplined such as Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related discipline.
  • Certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or similar credentials from recognized professional organizations can be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with specific industry-related certifications or standards may also be required, such as ISO9001 Lead Auditor certification for quality management system auditing.
  • Minimum 12 – 15 years of professional experience in related fields.
  • Several years of experience in quality assurance or quality control roles, preferably in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Experience in implementing and managing quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, ISO13485, or similar standards.
  • Experience in a relevant industry, such as manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, automotive, or technology.
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
