Job deEscrituraion:

Responsible for releasing purchase orders to vendors in alignment with customer’s demand.
Ensure timely delivery from suppliers by closely monitoring open orders and supplier commitments to prevent any disruptions to production.
Tracking of shipments from vendors.
Review, negotiate, and enter vendor pricing, communicating changes to management.
Proactively expedite or defer orders based on customer requirements and budget constraints.
Good communication with Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Finance, Production and Sales departments for any changes with the product or demand.
Experience with Kanban methodology.
Manage excess and obsolete inventory, implementing inventory control measures to optimize warehouse or 3PL stock levels.
Work with max/min inventory levels for efficient inventory management.
Engage regular communication with suppliers regarding price, lead times, MOQ, quality and forecast.
Strategically minimize air freight costs by optimizing shipping methods.
Process vendor returns and manages the OTD process on a monthly basis.
Address any discrepancies in quantities between the warehouse and Accounts Payable (AP) through effective problem-solving techniques.

Requirements / Knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably with expertise in sourcing, vendor qualification, and vendor auditing.
Proficiency in verbal and written English at a level of at least 50%, with an emphasis on clear and professional communication skills.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze data and present findings effectively.
Experience with any MRP system.
Ability to work autonomously, adapt and learn quickly.
Can meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
