Job Description - Senior Execution Sales EMEA

ING Financial Markets is looking for a Senior Execution Sales for Commercial Paper and/or Repo for E
MEA, within FM Sales Amsterdam.

Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

The team

The execution sales team is a centralized multi-asset and multi-client sales team covering the EMEA region. The team consists of 12 sales experts capturing low touch voice and e-flow business. We play a vital role in the role out of the wider FM sales strategy where we closely cooperate with Origination sales and Center of Expertise to grow FM client income in coming years. We work closely with our stakeholders in the value chain including Trading, DCM, Group Treasury, and other products/services to deliver value to the organisation and our clients.

Role and responsibilities

This position comprises asenior sales role focused on distributing Repo and CDCP across the EMEA region. You will be covering and developing a very wide and diversified international client base consisting of Institutional clients across EMEA. You will take a pro-active approach to map out our client base, and engage across the ING value chain of Trading, Origination Sales and Sectors. You will build and institutionalize relationships via the introduction of key ING colleagues whilst delivering value to clients and our internal stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

Qualification/Education

  • BSc / MSc work and thinking level
  • Relevant sales training (also provided on the job)

Experience/Knowledge

  • Thorough understanding of Financial Markets
  • Repo and/or CDCP Sales experience at financial institution(s)
  • Proven personal interest in Financial Markets and Investments
  • Existing EMEA client base preferred

Personal Competencies

  • Excellent sales skills
  • Proactive and positive mind-set
  • Strong team player, able to put the team’s interests before personal gains
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Disciplined, well-organised, and stress resistant
  • Fluent in English
  • Preferably Track record in covering (institutional) investors
  • Preferably understanding of Dutch language
