Job Description - Do you want to gain experience from renewable energy infrastructure market?

Hvitsten AS is an alternative investment fund manager ('AIFM') authorized and supervised by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway pursuant to Section 2-2 of the Norwegian Act on Management of Alternative Investment Funds.

They are now seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Temporary Investment Analyst to provide support during a parental leave period, from august 2024 - january 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in the renewable energy infrastructure market while contributing to vital analysis and reporting functions.

As a new team member in Hvitsten AS you will be given the opportunity to gain insights into the renewable energy market and infrastructure investments. At the same time, you will be exposed to a dynamic and growing industry with potential for professional growth and development, while interacting with large international institutional investors. Main work tasks will be:

  • Conduct analysis and research to build market intelligence in the renewable energy infrastructure market
  • Perform investment analysis and reporting, including financial modeling and risk assessment
  • Conduct sustainability analysis and reporting, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and guidelines
  • Prepare regulatory reports and assist with compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with the finance department, Financial Operations, Control, and Oversight, on financial reporting
  • Assist with governance and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations
  • Contribute to various ad-hoc projects and tasks as required

Qualifications we look for:

  • Masters degree in finance, economics, or engineering degree
  • Prior experience in investment analysis, financial reporting, or sustainability analysis preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Knowledge of renewable energy markets and infrastructure investments is advantageous

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all tasks
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

The company has been appointed as AIFM for the Alternative Investment Fund Wind Fund I AS to provide portfolio management services. Wind Fund I AS is fully subscribed and reserved for professional investors only.

Through managing the Fund's portfolio of renewable energy assets, Hvitsten will assist in channeling capital towards the environmental objective of climate change mitigation and will contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals ("SDGs"), primarily SDG 7 targeting increased access to affordable, reliable, and clean energy.
