Job Description - IT and Digitization Officer

Working at Stadtwerke Hennigsdorf means helping to shape the energy future of the town of Hennigsdorf and the region. Through the municipal district heating supply, the company currently achieves a climate-friendly heat supply of up to 65 percent in Hennigsdorf, and in the next few years this figure will rise to almost 80 percent. At the same time, Stadtwerke has established itself as a partner to the town of Hennigsdorf and the region. Next, we would like to work with you to digitalize our services and structures and maximize our security requirements.

To support our teams, we are looking for the next possible date, a:n:

IT and digitization officer (m/f/d)


We are looking for a dedicated and experienced IT and Digitalization Officer (m/f/d) to join our dynamic Stadtwerke team. You will be responsible for driving forward the digital transformation in our company and optimizing the use of digital technologies. As the central point of contact for all IT issues, you will also be responsible for the central management of service providers (administration) and information security. As a cross-sectional area within the company, you will report directly to the management and manage your area of responsibility independently.

Your new role

  • You will develop a comprehensive digitalization strategy for Stadtwerke Hennigsdorf that supports the company's goals and is tailored to the company's needs and challenges.
  • You will identify and evaluate digital technologies and tools that are relevant to the company and take the lead on implementation projects to introduce and integrate these technologies
  • You implement and monitor security measures to protect the company's digital assets and data and in this context are prepared to take on the position of Information Security Officer (ISMS / Asset Management)
  • You will manage the central system administration with our service providers, maintain the IT infrastructure including servers, networks and workstations and provide technical support for employees within the company.
  • You will be responsible for software management, licence administration and provide support with process optimization and change management.

This multifaceted task requires a high degree of personal responsibility and initiative. For this reason, in addition to numerous service providers and partners, we also provide the necessary authority to successfully implement the tasks assigned. At the same time, we expect applicants to see themselves as managers of this multifaceted task in order to steer the necessary steakholders.



  • We expect a completed apprenticeship or degree in computer science, information technology or comparable qualifications as well as relevant professional experience in IT administration and support or similar areas.





  • Sound knowledge of system administration (Windows and/or Linux), network technologies, security standards and data protection regulations is desirable.



  • Very good communication skills, technical analysis skills and a solution-oriented way of working are helpful in order to be able to master creative solutions for the complex challenges together with the employees.
