PERFORMANCE DETAILS

  1. What s the major objective(s) of the role Specifically what does this person need to do to be considered a success What will they be working on This person will be the Salesforce Business Analyst for a project that is underway to update the Salesforce application that is used by the Complaints and Appeals team specifically when a referral needs to be generated to a dentist. The person will need to understand the project goals and become familiar with the Salesforce requirements. The Benefit Analyst will represent SalesforceIT on the project and be required to update any requirements document change requests raise risks and issues and coordinate with others on the project to ensure the project is moving ahead as expected. If there are questions on Salesforce requirements this person will be expected to investigate and coordinate a response. If any issues require additional discussions or collaboration this person would be responsible to identify the appropriate resources to engage and facilitate calls document key discussion points and update any requirements while keeping the project team informed of progress. Additionally the person will support the Salesforce team on production support and other projects & initiatives as time permits.

What are the MUST HAVE technologies for this position (Please list must have technologies / technical skills and what the candidate needs to do in order to be considered great at them)

  1. 2 years work experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst

  2. Agile methodology (experience with Scrum or Kanban is a plus)

  3. Fluent in Microsoft Word

  4. Proficiency in Excel including the ability to run complex formulas and functions including VLOOKUP PivotTables and creating various charts

  5. What are the MUST HAVE Critical Skills for this position (For critical skills please also describe what the person needs to do with them in order to be considered very good at it.)

  1. Strong interpersonal listening oral and written communication skills with a strong focus in writing clear and concise technical requirements

  2. Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as accuracy and attention to details

  3. Stakeholder management skills and ability to interact effectively with people at all levels (from multiple areas of the company)

  4. Understanding of Salesforce with proven working knowledge in related areas of expertise

5.Ability to learn quickly and act independently in fast paced environment

  1. What are the NICE TO HAVE technologies you wouldn t mind seeing on a candidates resume

  2. Work experience in the dental insurance industry and or Complaints and Appeals process

  3. Integration tools: understanding or familiarity with middleware and integration technologies such as Boomi or MuleSoft

  4. Experience with Requirement Management/Project Management tools such as Azure Devops or Jira

  5. Fluent in Microsoft Visio or related tools such as Lucidchart for process mapping and workflow analysis

  6. Salesforce experience or familiarity with SF Service Cloud Salesforce Experience Cloud (Community Cloud) Salesforce Sales Cloud or related Customer Relationship Mgmt System (CRM)

  7. Experience/knowledge of SQL to perform query analysis for analyzing data

Under limited supervision the Business Systems Analyst supports IT goals and objectives by working closely with Project Managers IT Managers and business stakeholders to ensure application development and implementation meets the business requirements. Work with internal and external offsite Project Managers Technical Designers and Developers and other key stakeholders to identify and document requirements and use cases in a manner that is accurate and meaningful to business and IT professionals. This position also demonstrates leadership in the team environment.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must have Business Systems Analyst experience and a proven understanding of the use case documentation process.

  • Work with Project Managers and other key stakeholders (IT Managers IT Designers and Developers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)) to develop and document requirements and use cases in a manner that is clear accurate meaningful and understood by all.

  • Facilitate IT and business use case walkthru sessions.

  • Mentor less experienced Business Systems Analysts; review use case documentation and provide constructive feedback.

  • Must maintain a thorough understanding of client s business practices and the applications/systems that support them.

  • Work with IT and business users to evaluate options and recommend solutions in line with IT and/or business architecture.

  • Develop reusable templates and maintain Business Systems Analyst methodology.

  • Prepare documentation using tools such as Visio Word and Excel.

  • Identify and implement process improvements.
