The role:

With our current Accounts Receivable Officer moving overseas, we are now looking for our next superstar to own the full function of accounts receivable. This includes completing and sending out of invoices, sending out reminders of upcoming payments and resolving issues or disputes that may arise.  The position is full time (40-hours per week) and based in our Mt Wellington Head Office, reporting to the Finance Manager. 

Key responsibilities:

Full function of Account Receivable including: 

  • Contract & Casual/on-charge billing
  • Create and send out statements monthly
  • Accurate completion of intercompany invoicing
  • Prepare credit notes and send out to clients
  • Receipting and Allocation of payments 
  • Updating of customers details
  • Setting up new customer accounts and job codes in the ERP system

Credit Control 

  • Follow-up with outstanding accounts by email or phone and with clients if overpaid or short-paid. 

Monthly Reporting 

  • Create a monthly AR budget for companies
  • Send out monthly ad hoc reports to Operations
  • Prepare monthly accrual and variance reports for direct costs
  • Produce an aged debtor report 

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Account Receivable role. 
  • Experience in having worked in a services business is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel and account reconciliation skills.
  • Experience with ERP system.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to contribute to development of systems and processes to adapt to changing needs to business.
  • Ability to hit the ground running and have a “can-do” attitude towards challenges.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
  • Comfortable in a fast-growing organisation and willing to support the wider finance team where required in order to ensure the success of PPCS.
