Experienced Healthcare Assistant - Urgent

We are looking for a committed and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to provide essential support across a variety of tasks. This role involves direct patient care, administrative duties, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless operation and superior patient experience.

This role will be full time with hours rostered between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing clinical procedures such as blood pressure, weight checks and change of dressing. 
• Manage patient recalls efficiently.
• Provide caring and supportive patient care.
• Oversee the management of medical stocks and supplies.
• Handle documentation and liaison activities with healthcare professionals.
• Ensure the proper sterilization and maintenance of medical instruments.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven ability to communicate effectively with both patients and medical staff.
• Previous experience using MedTech 32 is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Multilingual abilities would be beneficial.
• Must be enthusiastic, innovative, and solutions-focused.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a primary healthcare setting.
• A healthcare certification or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work independently and handle challenging situations when necessary.

Additional Requirements

• Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand (Citizenship, Work Visa, or NZ Residency).
• Preferred candidates will undergo pre-employment checks.
