Interiors Estimator / QS - Continuous Learning Opportunities

Lynx Recruitment is currently partnered with an Interiors subcontractor near Mount Wellington who are on the hunt for an Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join to support with ongoing projects, and produce tenders from $100k-$2m for Fit-out & Refurbishment projects across Auckland and the surrounding areas.

Remuneration package & benefits:

• $80K - $120K NZD basic salary

Quantity Surveyor's Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Estimating team in producing tenders from $100k to $2m
• Evaluating bid specifications and reviewing plans and drawings
• Ensuring tenders are correct, detailed, transparent and traceable
• Claims and variations for in progress projects
• Developing relationships with customers and subcontractors
• Attending client meetings and interviews throughout the tendering & project process
• Ensuring compliance with relevant environmental laws, regulations, industry codes of practice and project requirements specified by clients or regulators with cost implications included in tenders, budgets and/or cost plans
• Working in a tight knit team 

To be successful in this role your background will include the below:

• Experience in the construction, refurbishment or fit out sectors in estimations/Quantity Surveyor roles
• Have 2 - 5 years' experience in Estimating / Quantity Surveying in Construction 
• Qualification in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying (desirable)
• Understanding of pricing and methodology of the building process
• Highly organised with sound time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced IT skills
