Junior Project Manager - Professional Development Opportunities

Due to increasing market activity, we are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our Christchurch team to learn and manage residential construction projects. 

This is a junior role assisting and understudying our senior Project Managers to provide increased capacity across our team.

As a Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with construction administration, suppliers, sub-contractors and tradespeople to support the construction of builds under supervision from senior staff. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate:

• Effective and positive client communication and customer service.
• Ordering and coordinating suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors.
• Coordinating administration, timeframes, quality and costs across sites.
• Driving Health and Safety practices across allocated build sites.

As a successful candidate, you will be either a qualified Builder or a Construction management graduate with a growing record of project delivery.  You will definitely have a good working knowledge of the NZ Building Code and NZS3604 and recent experience working with customers, suppliers, contractors and Health and Safety.

You should be confident on a computer (both office and project apps), and in working with people – clients, colleagues, customers and contactors.  You should be a well-organised, punctual person, have high attention to detail in safety and quality, and have very good English communications (written and verbal). You must be at ease working to deadlines and be resilient under pressure.  Above all, you will be honest, reliable, prepared to listen, and able to follow process. We have strong internal systems which you will need to adapt to.
