Manager Urban Services and Facilities - Urgent

Warrumbungle Shire Council is looking for a talented and dynamic Manager Urban Services and Facilities to develop, manage and control the operation of Council’s public facilities, including building assets, pool complexes, airport, open space areas, parks and gardens, playgrounds, sporting fields, cemeteries and crown lands.

The Warrumbungle area in NSW, Australia, is well known for its stunning natural resources, from Coolah Tops in the south to the stunning Warrumbungles mountains in the north and of course our renowned night skies. Based in Coonabarabran this role comes with a quintessential country lifestyle. The Warrumbungle region is acclaimed for its national parks and rugged beauty. It is also home to Australia’s first dark sky park – perfect for both stargazing and outdoor and nature enthusiasts.

Reporting to the Director Technical Services you will ensure that Council’s active and passive recreational facilities, and real estate are well-maintained and managed in accordance with industry standards. To succeed in the role you will have relevant qualifications and experience in management of recreational areas, open spaces, property or facilities management and you will understand and be able to operate within a risk management framework, and have strong project delivery skills.

Importantly, strong leadership experience will be key to your success in effectively supporting and building relationships with your diverse, multi-disciplinary team and communicating effectively with our stakeholders and community.
