Job Description - Pharmaceutical Territory Manager - Join a Market Leader

We are on the lookout for a confident Pharmaceutical Territory Manager to join our energetic team at Pharmaco (NZ) Ltd in Mount Wellington, Auckland.

The Role: 

Join our National Sales team as one of our  Territory Managers in a newly created role to support our growth and launch of new products.  You’ll be responsible for the territory from Mt Wellington/East Auckland down to BOP and the Lakes. You could be based in South Auckland or in the Waikato and will report to our Sales Manager-Pharmaceuticals and Diabetes.  As the Territory Manager you will be accountable for maximising and growing our revenue, market share and brand presence for specifically our pharmaceutical portfolio. 

What we are looking for:

A successful and experienced Account/Territory Manager who brings their knowledge of the NZ healthcare industry and has experience in the NZ Pharmaceutical area.  Ideally you will have established relationships in the Auckland,  Waikato, BOP and Lakes region, within the primary and secondary care providers. You will be accountable for: 

  • Implementing a sales strategy, tactical account and sales cycle plans for our Pharmaceutical range of products, so you drive sales performance and maximise the budgeted revenue, growth, cost, and margin targets in your territory. 
  • Building and continuing to develop high levels of product knowledge and providing technical support, education and product training to our primary and secondary care customers. 
  • Growing strong relationships and retaining a network of customer, key account, opinion leaders and industry contacts to facilitate sales development and success. 
  • Supporting  marketing initiatives to drive revenue and implement promotional activities.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with our national sales teams, customer services, warehouse, distribution, and supply chain teams and our product managers.  

What will you bring? 

  • At least 2 years proven experience within the Pharmaceutical  industry and a strong track record of sales and account management success having consistently delivered results as demonstrated by the achievement of sales targets and budgets
  • A proven ability to identify sales and new business opportunities 
  • Ideally a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to implement sales strategy and account management and sales cycle plans 
  • Excellent business acumen and commercial judgement, and the ability to identify new business and opportunities for strategic partnerships
  • Strong technological skills including the ability to embrace and effectively utilise technology, analyse data and to run our CRM system and also to sell, teach and support our customers to use our associated software and Apps
  • Highly developed and effective communication skills – verbal and written 
  • Outstanding relationship building skills – experienced, confident, and credible at building strong relationships both internally and externally at all levels of organisations, collaborating effectively with all stakeholders 
  • You must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
