This position plays a key role in creating engaging experiences, tailored to real user needs. You’ll spend time ideating, researching and talking with customers and collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to develop user-centered solutions
The things you’ll need to be able to do:
- You'll excel at designing simple, usable product solutions that address customer challenges.
- Extensive experience with industry standard design tools (currently Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Conduct user & desk research
- Analyze research insights, product strategy, and technical constraints to ensure designs are viable.
- Visualize ideas and concepts for various stakeholders.
- Contribute to defining and articulating the problem and challenging assumptions
- Maintain a consistent design language and guidelines to enhance brand identity and user familiarity.
- Deliver UI specifications, design standards, prototypes, and assets.
- Collaborate with engineers/product to implement designs and drive product improvement.
The things you’ll get to do:
- Work on product ideas as part of wider product/engineering team. This may include developing design concepts to validate ideas. These concepts may take the form of process flows (interaction design), wireframes (various levels of fidelity), prototypes or videos.
- Design user interface elements and document them in the design system.
- Design and work on a solid UX strategy across all products and solutions.
- Identify, analyse, and document UX problems.
- Lead the testing of design concepts internally with stakeholders and externally with existing or potential customers in order to determine not only usability but also value.
- Support the product and sales team as they meet with customers and understand their jobs, pains and gains and document these as user journeys.
- Take part in specialist or multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Occasionally travel to clients' locations to conduct interviews or product demonstrations.
- Contribute and possibly lead ideation workshops utilising frameworks/processes such as design thinking and design sprints.
