Production Line Setter - Room for Advancement

New Zealand Health Manufacturing (NZHM) is a leading manufacturer of Dietary Supplements in New Zealand.  NZHM's Award-Winning success is due to its commitment to its customers and quality.  Our world-class manufacturing site produces Dietary Supplements for New Zealand and multiple overseas markets. Having recently completed a large expansion of our South Auckland site, we are looking to the future to build on our successes and expand our horizons.

We are looking for a line setter to assist our production packing team by driving productivity and efficiency through our labeling and packaging lines. This role is covering for an individual who has been placed in a different role for a period of time. 

The line setter role is a full-time (40 hours per week), fixed-term role working Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm and based in Mangere, Auckland. 

Period: May 2024 - December - 2024

Key role specific tasks: 

• Set up the dry area labeling and packing line.
• Follow the production plan.
• Take direct from the Dry area Packing Supervisor to achieve the packing plan.
• Packing of the product as per batch document.
• Perform Line Clearance of the packing line according to standard operating procedure.
• Filling batch records for labeling of products.
• Cleaning and sanitizing of packing line according to standard operating procedure.
• Performing in-process testing according to batch documents and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain regular maintenance packing line to ensure the line is running efficiently and safely
• Notify the Supervisor about equipment and production problems.

What we are after: 

• Experience working on a packing line, preferably an automated line
• Good written and spoken communication skills
• A good level of physical fitness as there are often long periods of standing
• Strong adherence to workplace Health and Safety practices
• The ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• An understanding of the importance of working to strict deadlines.
• Someone who is mechanically minded.
