ResponsibilitiesReading blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirementsTaking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material neededSelecting timbers and materials, and preparing layouts Shaping or cutting materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws. Assembling and fastening materials to form structures ready to install, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.Installing and repairing structures and fixtures, such as doors, windows, frames, floorings, and trim, or hardware using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools and power tools. Inspecting places and conducting repairs or maintenanceFilling cracks and other defects in plaster or plasterboard and sand patch, using patching plaster, trowel, and sanding toolsFollowing established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.Requirements and skillsA minimum three years of relevant experience or a relevant qualification certificate equivalent to NZ Level 4 qualification or higher if you do not have 3 years' relevant work experience Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materialsExcellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and constructionStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accuratelyProficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essentialWillingness to work a flexible schedule including weekendsTo express your interest, please email your CV to ******
