This includes but is not limited to management of staff and allocation of resources to create efficient and productive theatre services, ensuring excellent clinical standards, demonstrating professional leadership and exercising sound financial management.
The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) Operating Theatres will role model quality evidence-based practice and lead the development of new processes and systems that support theatre performance.
The role includes operational management of the Associate Clinical Nurse Managers (ACNM), and accountability for employment related matters related to Registered Nurses (RNs) in the department, including professional performance of staff is managed in conjunction with the Perioperative Manager and respective professional leaders (medical, nursing, allied) within Te Whatu Ora Taranaki.
We are welcoming applications from expert and professional practitioners who will be providing leadership, professional, caring, and best practice nursing services to our patients that puts them at the centre of everything we do. 
This role requires the successful candidate to be:
• Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, with a minimum of five years post graduate nursing experience within the operating theatre, including a minimum of two years leadership/management experience.

• Ability to uphold the Te Whatu Ora Taranaki Te Ahu values.
• Te Whatu Ora Taranaki Health Plan knowledge.
