Job No:KAP1823 Location:Auckland Initially part-time sessional basis with the opportunity to extendBe part of the journey in helping students reach their goals through quality educationWe are currently accepting applications for several part-time or relief teaching vacancies, especially in (but not limited to) the following disciplines:Information Technology for BusinessBiologyPhysicsManagement and EconomicsAccountingMathematicsResponsibilities:Prepare courses for online and/or face-to-face classes in conjunction with weekly teaching material before the classesPreparation of course teaching materials and handouts in collaboration with other teaching team membersDeveloping course outlines, curriculum documents, and assessment tasks in collaboration with other teaching team membersEnsure all Foundation classes are conducted in a professional mannerWeekly scheduled consultation with students – being available to students for consultation out of class, especially for students considered to be at riskMark all continual assessments and final examinations in line with marking guidesEnsure that marking is completed in the allocated timeframe and recorded in the agreed LMS to allow for moderationProvide marking feedback to the Academic CoordinatorRequirements:A teaching qualification and a tertiary degree in a relevant subject from an accredited institution (essential)Experience teaching online classes delivery as well as knowledge of digital teaching tools and methods (essential)Excellent organisational skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationCoaching and mentoring skillsAbility to motivate and lead othersIntellectual and operational flexibilityKaplan International and Massey UniversityKaplan International New Zealand offers you the opportunity to work for one of the world's leading providers of lifelong education.
