A redevelopment is currently underway at the hospital which will add a new 10-bed critical/intensive care unit, central sterile services department (CSSD), four operating theatres, a 30-bed inpatient ward, four additional operating. Your role at St John of God Ballarat Hospital The Enrolled Nurse as a member of the nursing team participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse the Enrolled Nurse performs, nursing functions based on her/his education preparation, knowledge, skills, understandings and past experiences in nursing situations. This position is available within our Medical / Cardiology unit. You will be assisting with a vast range of general medical health conditions as well as the care of patients post coronary angiography and permanent pacemaker implantation and 24 hour cardiac monitoring. The Position Practice in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia. In a spirit of hospitality and compassion, observe, record and report to a registered nurse specific and general physical and mental conditions of patients, and symptoms and signs which may be indicative of change Undertake to know the nursing and medical history of allocated patients. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, deliver nursing care to allocated patients. Document patients' care and progress according to hospital policies and standards. Report information regarding patients to appropriate personnel. Escort patients, maintaining safety at all times, to and from the ward as directed. Attend all mandatory and recommended OHS training as scheduled by Group Services. You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse; you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a team. In addition, you will possess effective verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional education. To succeed you will have relevant clinical practice skills, with the ability to problem solve or seek help from appropriate resources and the aptitude to implement care plans under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The Benefits Salary: $63575 to $70677 (pro rata for part time)per annum, plus 11% superannuation It is a Permanent Part time position, 60.8hr a fortnight.
