Job Description - Production Scheduler

ZIWI Limited is recognised as a leading pet nutrition company and is setting the standard globally using only NZ locally sourced natural and free-range ingredients. We have a passionate and dedicated team who are incredibly proud of the products we make and love sharing them globally.

Due to our phenomenal growth, we are now seeking an experienced production scheduler to drive production scheduling processes and deliver plans that meet demands for our super kitchen site at Awatoto.

You will work collaboratively with our procurement, supply chain, R&D and warehouse teams to ensure current ingredients are in each location to enable the production teams to meet their commercial requirements and assist them to maximise efficiencies. You will also assist with analysis and reporting for continuous improvement.

You will assist to set up the master data for planning and scheduling production orders, and lead the maintenance of the system, including regular system housekeeping to ensure the data is clean and current at any given time.

You will be an expert communicator with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Experience with an ERP is essential, if you’ve used ABEL previously, that would be beneficial.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the production planning and scheduling across Awatoto and other production sites as required
  • Work with production and other teams to maximise efficiency
  • Communicate changes or variances in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve key production or supply issues

The person we are seeking will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in supply chain or similar
  • A solid understanding of ERP and inventory systems
  • An understanding of e-cert requirements
  • Experience in food manufacturing environments is desirable
  • Competency in MS office
