Our IDS comprises of three parts, Ward 10a – a 12 bed inpatient service, Helensburgh Cottage – a 4 bed inpatient rehabilitation unit and the Community Liaison Team.This role will:Collaboratewith the multidisciplinary team comprising of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Mental Health Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Psychiatrists.Develop your clinical skills on a shift-by-shift basis.Workalongside patients in a complex environment to meet their identified needs in a multi-disciplinary setting.Emphasisethe delivery of safe client focused care in an ever-changing dynamic setting.Encompassacute care of patients recently admitted as well as the continuing care and rehabilitation of patients with complex needs.Collaborate closely with the Charge Nurse Manager, Associate Charge Nurse and the Clinical Nurse Specialist.To be successful in this role you must:New Zealand Nursing Council registration and have a current APChave current eligibility (citizenship, residency or work visa) to live and work in New ZealandBe positive with exceptional communication skillsHave a passion for supporting people from admission to dischargeAffordable housing and beautiful sceneryContinuous support for career developmentSubsidised gym membership and discounted health insuranceAccess to discounted staff holiday accommodation and a range of retail discountsHealth New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
