100% NZ owned and operated, this local Waikato and Bay of Plenty organisation prides itself on being hands on with almost 50 years of expertise under their belts spread across. Our client is Van Dyks who own 100%, Living, Bed R Us, Bikes, La-Z-Boy & Flooring Xtra. This role sits within their Living  division.  The Role: 
As a Sales Consultant you will be working amongst a team that are committed to sales and understanding exactly what the customer is looking for. You will be able to showcase your passion for interiors & design dealing one on one with customers creating dream interiors for your clients. Be part of a brand new concept store in Matamata, Waikato. Generous hourly rate depending on experience

Full Time 40 hour roster including one weekend day

Provide excellent customer service  to exceed customer expectations and maximise sales opportunities.

Provide product expertise to customers.

Sets a high standard of company values and representation.

Preferred Requirements:

Several years of retail sales experience with a track record of high sales proficiency.

Demonstrated team skills with supervisory ability.

Knowledge of the furniture / interiors industry.

Desirable: Level 3 NZQA in Retail Sales or equivalent retail training/experience

Passion about customer care + strong customer service skills 

Ability to understand and adapt to various customer needs without visible frustration.

Persuasive and influential, with enthusiasm for successful sales.

Demonstrates eagerness, energy, and maintains good health and vitality.

Excellent at building relationships with colleagues and clients.

Maintains grooming standards and wears supplied uniforms.

Some visual merchandising skills.
