Tertiary Education Delivery Site Coordinator/Administrator and Kaiako-Tutor Tertiary Education Delivery Site Coordinator/Administrator/Kaiako-TutorBecome a part of a national organisation supporting the Whangarei community to ensure the peoples of Aotearoa are critically literate and able to realise their full social, cultural, and economic potential.Literacy Aotearoa Charitable Trust provides a range of programmes at no direct cost/free to the learner and builds on their knowledge and experiences to enhance their confidence and capabilities. Learners celebrate their successes and achievements, growing their independence, confidence and resilience.Literacy Aotearoa is looking for a highly motivated Site Coordinator/Administrator and Kaiako - Tutor to join our Whangarei delivery site for an exciting full time (40 hours per week) role.The Site Coordinator/Administrator is responsible for learner, programme and tutor coordination as well as administration at the local delivery site. They work closely with their reporting manager, the regional delivery team and as part of the national organisation to build strong relationships and has the ability and skills to coordinate learning opportunities for learners in the local community and in workplaces.As a Kaiako - Tutor you will be responsible for delivering Literacy Aotearoa programmes to learners who seek to increase their literacy and numeracy competencies. Programmes and resources are provided but you will need to ensure that they match the needs of the learners you work with, and when necessary, seek alternative resources, appropriate to their needs.To be successful in this role you will be a positive and effective leader who can motivate and connect with people at all levels. You will need to be adaptable and well organised to thrive in a varied work environment. Relevant experience of coordinating staff and programmes, preferably in the community, not for profit or education sector(s), and practical experience in education management and academic practices would be an advantage. You will hold a literacy and numeracy qualification (either NZCALNE (Voc) L5 or NZCATT L4), or similar and have proven experience in delivering literacy and numeracy teaching. Experience of delivering Unit Standards is desirable.Flexibility in tuition delivery (days and times) will be viewed favourably. Programmes are delivered in groups of learners, and face-to-face.
