Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 22/07/2024, End Date: 19/12/2024 (Teacher away on maternity leave) Area / composite (Years 1–15), Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts We are looking for a full-time teacher for our Y9 and 10 class, to cover a range of subjects for term 3 and 4 to cover a teacher on maternity leave. We will consider part-time arrangements. The successful applicants will have a passion for raising student achievement and will have high expectations of students and themselves. The ideal teacher will have experience working in Y9-10 and above and be open to learning and working collaboratively. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children in our special character school. Knowledge, experience, and personal commitment to our special character is a priority but not essential for this fixed-term position. A willingness and ability to uphold the special character of the school, is a condition of employment. Although secondary teachers are preferred, primary and intermediate teachers who have some experience in teaching Y9–10 are encouraged to apply We are a growing school and this is an amazing opportunity to be a part of our growth and future success. The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $62K to $90k, depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
