Job Description

Job Title: CREATIVE LEAD

Position Purpose: The Creative Lead is responsible for leading a team of creative professionals in conceptualizing designs according to project requirements, client specifications, and Brand direction and image. He/she would drive every aspect of collaboration from brainstorming, ideation, creation and execution, oversee deliverable timelines, budgets, and client relationships, drive cross-functional meetings from the design perspective, and ensure that visual merchandising and display align with the Brand's concept and targets. The Creative lead must be able to work independently, use professional judgment to manage day-to-day details, and maximize the potential of the design team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

. Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative and design team to develop innovative and actionable initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner

. Review and approve proposals, designs developed by the team, ensuring that deliverables address goals and challenges effectively

. Produce fresh and innovative work that translates into a cohesive visual concept

. Oversee the presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables

. Implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion

. Report progress of projects at major stages of their conception, creation, and execution

. Anticipate problems that may impede a project from completing on time and implement solutions

. Ensure designs and content reflect consistently and positively the brand image and company ideals

. Work with internal and external strategic partners to create products using the most current industry best practices

. Participates in other showroom functions including, but not limited to: training and mentoring others, weekly sales meetings and activities, working reports, maintaining showroom appearance

. Builds and maintains a high level of product knowledge related to furniture, home furnishings, and related accessories, including a strong understanding of construction features.

. Stays current on interior design trends in both local and international markets

. Prioritize work and resources across engagements, based on short- and long-term need

. Ensure efficient use of in-stock materials (eg: wood, fabrics, handles, mattings, etc) and incorporate into design planning and development

Client Relations and Management

. Offers superior customer service and cultivates relationships with clients to market and develop future business utilizing effective selling skills.

. Utilizes strong interpersonal skills, selling skills, active listening, and professional attitude, and represents the company with integrity and professionalism.

. Be able to establish self as an expert and engage with high-end clients and other accomplished designers in the industry.

. Supervise a cross-functional team of designers and merchandisers in the strategic development of concepts

. Building a creative team and a work environment that nourishes the team's creativity

. Mentor and encourage creative team members to foster a positive work environment

. Participate in and provide regular opportunities for professional development and growth to team

Work Arrangement:

. Workhours: 40 hours/week

. Overtime: NO, offsetting with Management approval

. Work from Home/Hybrid: YES, with Management approval
