Job Description - Specification Officer

Job Description:

  • To provide assistance to the Specification Manager in preparing and conducting product presentations to clients. 
  • Recommend activities and programs that would create opportunities and growth in sales, product mix development and taking shared responsibility for the department’s performance against targets.
  • Identify prospective clients and initiates productive discussions with the clients’ technical team to consider the use of the Company’s products. 
  • Investigate and review the client’s technical requirements, and make notes and recommendations about what company products are appropriate. 
  • Identify, research and verify selected products that are applicable to address the requirements and special concerns, if any. 
  • Coordinate with the client’s project team in providing the correct specifications and or assist the clients’ technical team in drafting the specifications to capture the project's qualitative requirements. 
  • Coordinate and ensure the output specification is consistent with the product's use and efficacy. 
  • Provide continuing technical support to the client's project team in ensuring the company’s products are utilized accordingly and the qualities of the results are achieved consistently.
  • Create, maintain, and expand the products thru exposure to Architects, Consultants, Project Owner and Contractors. 
  • Assist in the conduct of training and seminars related to specification and facilitate marketing content in trade shows with various organizations. 
  • Ensures all products recommended to Architects and consultants have relevant and complete supporting documents needed for the approval. 
  • Provides supporting documents needed for product approval. 
  • Assist in conducting on-site product applications and provide technical reports for product acceptance.
  • Facilitates samples and materials display during exhibits, ensuring all are complete, fit for display and highly appreciated by potential clients.


Qualification: 

  • Graduate of Engineering or Architecture (4 years)
  • Knowledgeable in Construction products
  • Can do Marketing/Sales
  • Excellent in Communication 
  • Has experience in Construction company
  • Can start ASAP
