Data Developer

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

As etaily’s Data Developer, you will support the business decision-making by developing and maintaining data warehouse infrastructure and business intelligence reporting solutions. In this role, you serve as one of the pillars in delivering one source of truth DW/BI solutions to support data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate must be able to roll up his/her sleeves and work directly with large datasets and DW/BI tools to solve challenging problems. He/she will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, highly analytical, and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop Etaily’s Data Warehouse infrastructure using cutting-edge cloud solutions.
• Development of Etaily’s ELT/ETL process to run on various time scales from hourly to daily.
• Develop integration jobs tapping into third-party APIs.
• Build out Etaily's Business Intelligence platform (for internal use and our customers) and maintain the data integrity and accuracy of the numbers and data sources.
• Contribute to improving our development processes by participating in SCRUM meetings (Sprint planning, Backlog grooming, Stand Up, Retrospectives, etc.).
• Collaborate with fellow developers in making each other’s work better and to the highest standard by reviewing and being able to QA colleagues’ work.

Your Profile:

After earning your outstanding degree at a top university, you have gained work experience in a top-tier e-commerce player, consulting companies, and/or in start-ups. Moreover, you have a proven track record of personal, academic, and professional achievements. Your knowledge of the internet and e-commerce sector in the region is impressive, as well as your high drive and ambition to perform. Independence, flexibility, and speed are as important to you as geographical mobility and international experience. Entrepreneurial drive, sales attitude, and the ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment complete your profile.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required (Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering, Economics).
• 1-2 years of experience in Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence roles.
• Experienced with Python and/or Spark (preferably AWS Glue) and Standard/ANSI SQL (preferably AWS Redshift/Athena).
• Experienced in software development dealing with APIs (preferably REST/RESTFUL, OPEN APIs, and/or Graph/GraphQL).
• Experience working with APIs from Shopify, Marketplace platforms (e.g., Shopee, Lazada), Facebook Ads, Google Ad Words, and Google Analytics.
• Familiar and/or experience in Agile (Scrum) practices/Data Warehousing concepts & principles
• Knowledge or familiarity with standard data visualization tools (PowerBI, Google Studio, Tableau) is a plus.
• Preferably with a background in e-commerce/product/retail
• Must be willing to work in Makati City and open for hybrid work arrangement (2 days onsite. 3 days WFH)
