We're currently looking for: The Senior Data Engineer will work in a fast-paced environment, with diverse data sets and technologies to produce production quality, scalable, automated solutions to a diverse set of challenging data problems. Reporting to the Principal Technical Director of Marketing Data, this individual will have the freedom to utilize the latest technologies to solve challenging problems and create innovative solutions. This role will collaborate closely with Marketing and technology teams to provide technical design and solutions with the ultimate goal of helping RingCentral redefine the Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience. To succeed in this role you must have experience in:

• 
  Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases
• 
  Work cross-functionally within the organization to deliver integrated business solutions
• 
  Ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data
• 
  Ability to perform basic quantitative engineering
• 
  Develop integrations with 3rd party APIs and expand their skills on data and systems architecture
• 
  Designing and building for fault tolerance, and establishing logging and monitoring to ensure five 9's uptime and availability

Desired Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor's in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics)
• 
  5-10 years' experience in a similar role or with similar experience
• 
  Intermediate to advanced experience in Data Manipulation Software (e.g., SQL, Hive, PySpark, JSON)
• 
  Proven experience in optimizing SQL, performance and system integration.
• 
  Knowledge of retrieving data from third-party using API calls.
• 
  Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• 
  Good working knowledge of Alteryx or similar ETL and ETL products
• 
  Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
