Director Accounting EMEA, you are responsible, together with a team of senior accountants, accountants and assistant accountants, for the organization and supervision of the accounting department of Ansell Poland (full statutory reporting), as wel as the operations of the shared service center in. This covers Group reporting, statutory and legal requirements, fiscal reporting and compliance with internal controls. Direct Reports to this Job (titles only) Indirect Reports (those job titles reporting into Director Report(s)) Associate Manager cash allocation Senior Accountant Accountant AP Specialist Junior AP Specialist AR Specialist GL Specialist GENERAL INFORMATION Coordinate and/or perform proper & timely monthly closings for the ledgers for which the closing is performed in the SSC. Ensure monthly accurate reconciliations between general ledger and sub-systems for the ledgers for which the closing is performed in the SSC. Secure compliance to corporate policies and accounting/legal requirements Maintain compliance to EMEA Chart of Accounts. Manage tax requirements and tax declarations (CIT, VAT, Intrastat, …) for the entities for which this is performed in the SSC. Ensure books’ accuracy by setting up and maintaining control procedures; prepare internal audits for the areas for which the activity is performed in the SSC. Follow up on cash planning. Support the FP&A team in the budgeting and forecasting activities and assist in the variance analysis (budget vs actuals) Participate in the implementation of financial processes. Contact person with the external auditors for the ledgers maintained in the SSC. Leading the SSC Finance Department by developing operational strategy and team’s objectives in accordance with the strategic plan delivered by Ansell High Management Leading the team of EMEA finance supervisors, team leaders and chief accountants Responsible for service delivery as per agreed KPIs and quality standards Escalation point to drive issue resolution Designing and implementing internal controls and KPIs and monitoring the KPIs and controls effective execution Keeps the pace of the continuous improvement in the SSC on required level Supports the key projects, change activities and initiatives introduced by Ansell High Management , accountable for the Krakow SSC input Good transition manager – process migrations Develop and manage the SSC accounting team, setting objectives and provide feedback to keep on target. Build the EMEA SSC accounting team as a centre of excellence. Track team’s performance against the KPI’s set by the Assoc. Director Accounting EMEA. Additional ad hoc tasks as requested by the VP Finance EMEA and/or the Assoc. Director Accounting EMEA. KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS  (what education, knowledge and experience is required at a minimum level to perform the job’s responsibilities.) Education Min. Bachelor’s degree . High education, master degree in economics, finance, law, administration or management Job Experience Minimum of 7 years’ experience in accounting / business analysis (accounting office + multinational environment) with at least one previous management / supervising role Knowledge and Skills Knowledge: - High education, master degree in economics, finance, law, administration or management - Knowledge of IFRS; management reporting in a shareholder-value managed company. Experience with accounting of non-Belgian based companies is a major asset.Profound knowledge of general accounting principles and general tax matters. - At least 3 years of experience in people management - Experienced and mature people manager, experienced coach - Experience in Project Management - Experience in the processes transition and migrations - Experience in Change Management - Experience in Process Maps, KPIs, Controls, SLAs design and implementation - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Fluent English, other EMEA region languages is a plus - Strong drive to win and can-do attitude - Stress resistant and able to work under pressure - Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP. Oracle and MS Dynamics is a plus. - Good knowledge of MS office, advanced level of excel is a must Personal skills: - Open personality with demonstrated accounting expertise and strong people management capacities. - Team player with excellent communication skills - Hands-on, do-er, with personal drive and entrepreneurial mindset. - Quality, process and results driven - Analytical and detail oriented - Capable to drive improvements implementation - Eager to self-development - You work quickly and under minimal supervision, you are able to perform under strict deadlines and you are customer oriented - Demonstrate high personal ethic. · Effective people manager able to manage and develop high performing SSC teams · Promotor of the company values · Promotor of the Krakow SSC within the Ansell Company · Recruiting talents effectively in cooperation with HR department · Developing talents, good coach and mentor · Ongoingly monitoring the performance of the employees, providing feedback to direct reports, ensuring, that team leaders and supervisors provide regular feedbacks and monitor the performance of their reports. · Building effective communication between employees and management team by effective cascading of the information. · Building effective communication within the SSC finance department and between Ansell departments Prepared to travel occasionnel in Europe #J-18808-Ljbffr
