Environmental/Sustainability Engineer

Job Summary:

Engineers have the technical expertise and problem-solving skills to design innovative solutions that reduce waste, energy consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions by incorporating renewable energy sources into their designs and developing new technologies that promote sustainability in engineering and build a more resilient and environmentally friendly future.

Requirements:

• A minimum of seven (7) years overall experience in Environmental Management and Sustainability practices in construction projects on major international/regional projects in which a minimum of four (4) years experience in managing the environmental and sustainability requirements that include implementation of CEMP and environmental permitting requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering preferably with Level 6 ( NEBOSH Environmental Diploma or IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management) plus ISO 14001 EMS Lead Auditor Training.

• P2A Qualified professional who can manage and coordinate specialized activity, discipline, or team of moderate size and complexity Leads in the formulation of advanced technical concepts. Or, Provides specialist services in support of project requirements. Independently performs highly complex professional assignments demanding contributions calling for the application of specialized principles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide system and component design that reduce negative impact on environment
• Serve as a technical advisor on environmental policies and standards to ensure regulatory applicability
• Conduct research and technical audits on environmental impact of project, analyze data and perform quality control checks
• Develop resources management schemes
• Provide systems technical evaluation
• Integrate latest technologies into systems
• Address problems and develop environmental solutions to prevent damage
• Collaborate with scientists, planners and experts
• Monitor progress and provide recommendations reports
• Document and maintain plans, requirement, protocols, permits and standard operating procedures
• Achieve quality, sales, revenue and profitability goals
