Heavy Transport Manager

Our client is a leading Transport solutions provider for diverse industries, they are seeking a highly skilled & experienced Heavy Transport Manager to oversee all aspects of their national transport operations in Dammam, KSA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Extensive experience in diverse Team Leadership, Management & Development
• Develop detailed project plans, considering route feasibility, permits, equipment needs, and crew assignments.
• Client Communication and Relationship Management.
• Investigate and determine the most suitable routes, considering load dimensions, weight restrictions, road infrastructure, and potential hazards.
• Securing permits and planning routes to supervising loading, transport, and unloading operations.
• Overseeing the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of oversized and overweight cargo.
• Lead a team of drivers and support personnel, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
• Project Planning and Execution.
• Route Planning and Optimization.
  Fleet Management and Maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of load calculations, weight distribution, and securement procedures.
• Experience with heavy machinery lifting and rigging (desirable).
• Budget Management and Cost Control.
• Maintain open communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Negotiate competitive rates with vendors and suppliers and prepare detailed cost reports for management review.
• Schedule and manage regular preventative maintenance for all heavy transport vehicles.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role within the heavy transport operation industry.
• Proven experience with heavy machinery lifting and rigging (desirable) and experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
• Strong understanding of heavy transport operations, relevant industry regulations, and safety standards.
• In-depth knowledge of load calculations, weight distribution, and securement procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
