Lab Supervisor (Saudi National )

Job Description

• Maintain and ensure the compliance of laboratory test requirements and test reports to clients and able to supervise a team
• Monitor the performance of lab chemist for the assigned jobs.
• Ensure chemist follow standard methods for all samples tested.
• Ensure lab is well organized for the day today activities and with all safety measures
• Sample storage and disposal.
• Conduct a Risk assessment.
• To educate and train (where applicable) chemists and other employees.
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented for Test method Assessment findings.
• Responsible for analyzing SQC samples, interpreting data and responding to any condition as identified by this procedure.
• Report instances of non-conformances to the appropriate line management.
• Ensure that Proficiency testing samples are done and reported on time.
• Responsible for initiating/establishing Non-Conformance Report.
• Maintain and update the calibration record of the test equipment.
• Checks the correctness of equipment calibration record.
• Responsible to the client for subcontractors' work except where the customer or regulatory authority specifies the subcontractor to be used.
• Intervene when an unsafe act or condition is observed.
• Sample reporting and coordinating with operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum Graduation: B Sc Chemistry
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in same field in relevant laboratory activities and good knowledge of ASTM, ISO, IP methods etc

• Good knowledge of housekeeping and safety procedures.
• A sound understanding of the technical aspect of the section including methods, calibration maintenance and reporting LIMS procedures.
• A sound understanding of ISO 9001 & ISO 17025 requirements as applicable to the section.
