Job SummaryThe Regional Sales Manager plays a vital role in driving sales growth, managing a sales team of sales engineers, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the assigned region. This position involves leading a team of sales engineers, setting sales targets, developing sales strategies, and fostering strong customer relationships with customers to achieve business objectives.Key Responsibilities1. Sales Management and Strategy:• Lead a sales POD consisting of a sales engineer, and PSSRs (Parts Sales and Service Representative) • Develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with company objectives and market conditions.• Set sales targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective measures to achieve sales goals.• Regularly assess sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose strategies for increasing sales revenue.• Generate leads, identify prospects, and actively pursue new business opportunities.2. Budgeting and Forecasting:• Contribute to the POD sales budgeting process, including sales costs and revenue forecasts.• Collaborate with the sales team and other stakeholders to prepare accurate sales forecasts for equipment and spare parts.• Monitor and control POD sales expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.3. Training and Development:• Coordinate with suppliers to receive product training and updates on new products and features.• Ensure that the sales team is equipped with the necessary product knowledge to effectively promote and sell equipment and spare parts.• Provide coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team.4. Sales Performance Monitoring and Reporting:• Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze sales data, and generate comprehensive sales reports.• Identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to overcome challenges and achieve sales targets.• Present sales reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.5. Business Development:• Generate leads, identify potential customers, and actively pursue business development opportunities.• Build and maintain strong business relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions.• Conduct market research, analyze competitor activities, and propose strategies to increase market share.6. Customer Satisfaction and Relationship Management:• Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.• Establish and nurture long-term business relationships with clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly.• Provide timely resolution for client complaints, working closely with relevant departments to address and resolve issues.• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and exceed customer expectations.SkillsQualifications and Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).• Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the equipment or manufacturing industry.• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the equipment or manufacturing industry• Strong knowledge of sales techniques, strategies, and business development principles.• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.• Sound understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data and identify trends and opportunities.• Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.• Results-driven attitude with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.• Proficiency in using sales management software and CRM systems.
